Shelving for Music Collection

Shelving Plan for my somewhat "healthy" music collection. I still have nearly every LP I have ever bought, and added almost a 1000 CD's as well. The shelves should allow for any future growth, since like the rest of the world I download more of my purchases than buy physical copies. This quick "pre-vis" took about a half an hour and is not really a building plan. But now that I can see how it might work, I can go back and finalize the construction better and figure out exactly what I will need to build it.

100% Cinema 4D Nebula

Trying to make a good nebula in C4D. A long way to go, but beginning to look interesting. The "stars" are tiny cloned spheres, and the colorful "clouds" are visible lights with turbulent noise. It was a bit of a render hog on my MacBook Pro. (23 minutes for one frame). I was very tempted to add a sexy lens flare. This is a somewhat boring section of outer space, I guess. ;D

Camp Shower Stall

We needed a camp shower, so after three trips to Home Depot, I had enough PVC to construct this contraption. The water bag will hang from the top structure, and I will add an evaporation "pond" at the bottom. The sides will have some sort of shower curtains for privacy. It's not very pretty, but doesn't my wife look great standing in there?

Another experiment w C4D. This is a plane with a displacement deformer, which is then fed into an Atom Array to create the connective lines. During render, I jacked up the Depth of Field setting to produce this extreme effect. Not sure what I might use it for, but there might be a cool application for this technique in a future project.

Style frames for a Big Ten Network network show package. Cinema 4d w After Effects bling. The concept is we are in a huge control room for the network, with massive banks of control panels and gauges, routers and switching equipment that is a hub for all the excitement of Big Ten football broadcasting. Although we were not awarded the job, it was a great opportunity to create some interesting images.

Last night I had a 5+ hour train ride home due to the threat of a tornado in the area. No tornado's, but a huge tree fell across the tracks and we had to have the fire department come out and chainsaw that baby out. Then we had to have a drunk guy thrown off the train by the cops. What a night. I finally got home about 1:00 a.m. This image has nothing to do with that story, but I thought you might want to read about something other than subsurface scattering or cloner crap. I do like the low contrast coloration of this render. It's way too easy to over light and over saturate the scene in 3D.
